New Prints Linen mix fabrics to make you swoon!

Q. What have monkeys and pineapples got in common?
A. Apart from both living in trees, they also both feature on our amazing new range of 60% cotton and 40% linen mix fabrics.

This special buy range of fabrics are only £9 per metre and 150cm wide. However they are limited in availability and once they are gone we can't get any more. So don't hang about for summer if you want to get your hands on these and start planning your summer wardrobe.

Pink and green pineapples on a white background. This Pineapple fabric is shouting Pina colada at me louder than an 18-30s rep.  This is going to be your favourite sundress this summer! I would love to see a Rosie dress in this fabric.

Mega pineapples, like the name suggests, these bad boys are massive, each one measuring an impressive 37cm. This is not a fabric for shrinking violets. Go for a maxi dress so there is plenty of fabric to show off this giant pattern, the Saltspring is ideal. Still not convinced you can wear giant pineapples? This fabric would also make superb cushions or a giant beach bag, use the large Fringe bag for a simple throw it all in bag with pockets for sunnies and lotion.

Monkey puzzle comes in 2 colourways Orange or Blue. Featuring cheeky monkeys sitting in palm trees. A simple Scout tee would be super cute and at that price you could have one in each colour.

Tropical flowers take me away to sunny beaches and this bright orange print is no different. Make a Marigold jumpsuit and you will practically feel the sand between your toes!

Clark geometric print has a brilliant black, yellow and white graphic design, I adore this print and think it would look super sharp as a simple shift dress with a black jacket.

We've also had this beautiful Abigail linen and viscose mix fabric arrive, the viscose gives it a beautiful weight and drape, perfect for a full dress like Raglan dress.

Beautiful Blues - New Fabrics Now In Stock

Blue is one of our most popular colours and with these new stunning prints you can see why!

Textured ponte roma jerseys are perfect for dresses and sweatshirts. Choose from a navy or white background with large scale florals to make a real statement.

Sandie stretch crepe jersey

Hollie stretch crepe jersey

This ex designer scuba fabric is a real show stopper. I can see a full skirt worn with big heels and a red skinny sweater looking really striking in this fabric.

Corris scuba

As the weather starts to warm up I live in fitted trousers in stretch cotton sateen, make a pair in this funky design and wear with a plain navy top and white trainers.

Maze stretch cotton sateen

A viscose print jersey with an amazing disc design. How about a wrap dress in this superb fabric?

Circles viscose jersey

There is something a bit David Bowie about this lightweight silk. I would love to see a pussy bow blouse in this funky fabric. The mix of a girlie blouse with the rockets perfectly offset each other.

Rocket silk

Polyester voile is another perfect pussy bow blouse fabric. With a large paisley pattern this classic design is brought up to date in a modern colourway.

Deer & Doe Patterns Now In Stock

The beautiful French Deer & Doe patterns can now be found at Fabric Godmother. I love the modern designs, perfect party dresses as well as wardrobe staples. They come in beautiful packaging, with English as well as French instructions and they ooze French chic. See my favourites below with my top fabric picks.

View the full range of Deer & Doe patterns here.

Belladone is the perfect 'fit and flare' dress. Featuring cute details like the cut out back and diagonal pockets, yes that's right, pockets! I think this dress looks best in a fabric with a bit of body. Add in some texture and you're onto a winning combination. This Banbury cotton twill has just the right amount of both of these features and in a classic navy you will get so much wear out of this dress.

With its box pleats, the Chardon skirt is just crying out to be made in scuba (just in case you have never heard me going on about scuba before). If you haven't tried sewing with it, do it! It's a really satisfying fabric to work with, it sews up easily and doesn't fray, so no need to finish your seams. It has lots of 'bounce' so patterns that have pleats work really well. Just be aware scuba is a jersey so if you are sewing a pattern that is meant for wovens (like this one) then you may want to go down a size to allow for the give in the scuba. This Rose print scuba would just make the most perfect skirt, don't you think?

Safran is a super skinny high waisted jeans pattern. Optional pockets, belt loops and a cropped version make this a perfect wardrobe builder. You need a denim with plenty of stretch, we have just added loads of Stretch denims to the website but my top pick would be this 2 tone denim.

The Zyphyr dress pattern is specifically designed for scuba fabrics or thick jerseys like a ponte roma. And hello! check out that 2 piece version, how sweet is that?? This prism scuba would be totally amazing in this pattern.

Stretch Denim in Fabulous Prints!

Wow, these new stretch denims are having all the fun!! 2 tone, camouflage, glitter, jacquard we've got them all. I've also stuck in a few of our old favourites in case you missed them last time! Stretch denim makes great skinny jeans (as you would imagine) but it is also perfect for skirts, dungarees and dresses.

This 2 tone denim changes as you look at it, I would love to see a pair of skinny jeans in this fabric. It would really brighten up this grey weather.

Surely every girl should have some glitter denim in their wardrobe? Make a Cleo pinafore in this fabric and own it!

This pinstripe denim would make a great dress, like the Phoebe dress, stick a white shirt underneath for maximum business!

This cute jacquard denim would look great in a short skirt, the City stroll wrap skirt is ideal.

I love the retro colour of this blue denim, the Madeline skirt would work really well in this colour with some gold top stitching and a pair of clogs you are good to go!
Stretch Denim - Blue (Scale)

I'm making a pair of skinny jeans in this fabric right now, I love dark jeans and this is a great change from the standard black jeans I wear.

Pale pink is a proper girlie denim, so toughen it up in a western style shirt dress like the Rosa.

Totally the other end of the scale, this camo denim is ideal for the boys, why not make a man in your life a pair of shorts for when the weather gets warmer (it will soon, I promise, it always does!)

Textured Ponte Roma Jerseys & A New Tilly and the Buttons Pattern!

Whenever we get these textured Ponte Roma jerseys in they are always really popular. The plain colour with a bit of textured detail make them fun but easy to mix into your wardrobe. At only £10 per metre they're great value as well. Textured line ponte roma is available in Royal, Navy and Black and the Ribbed Ponte Roma comes in a lovely oatmeal colour.

Tilly and the Buttons has also released her latest pattern Zadie, and guess what it's perfect for? Our textured Ponte Romas! Choose from our huge range of jerseys and scuba fabrics to make your perfect combo! Check out those beautiful Z shaped seams! So flattering!

Tilly & The Buttons Zadie Dress (Intermediate)

Black Ponte Roma accented with this Elvaston digital jersey would look very chic, perfect for a night out!

Craze textured Scuba is really eye catching, add the Royal Blue Ponte Roma and it become a dress dreams are made of!

This blue Textured Ponte Roma as a highlight to a pillarbox red jersey dress will flatter your waistline and add a bit of interest.

Scuba is really easy to sew and the Aztec scuba pairs with our Navy scuba perfectly! For a bold look use the navy as an accent or if you prefer a slightly more subtle version the Aztec would look cool poking around the sides.
