EX DESIGNER FABRIC BLACK AND GREY

Perfect for everyday. This selection of black and grey dressmaking fabrics fresh from our Italian designer warehouse will blend easily into your existing wardrobe palette.

Mix and match them with brighter separates to offer a bit of 'cake' to your 'icing'
*see below if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Flute is a sturdy cotton with a small fan like flower on a black background. Make a pencil skirt or a pair of simple trousers and wear with a black or mustard top.

Teena is a light weight viscose ideal for a shirt or blouse. make an Mathilde blouse, pair it with a pair of high-waisted jeans and super bright pop bright shoes on for a modern smart/ casual style.

Neena is a soft wool and viscose mix jersey, light weight and ideal for a Lark layered beneath an oversized cardigan and black slim fitting trousers.

I adore the doodle effect on the Anis jersey. And would love to see it made into an Agnes and worn with the brightest pillar box red pencil skirt.

We also still have a small amount of Italian ex designer wools in stock including this supersoft charcoal pinstripe suiting

Last but by no means least if you missed out on the last lot of Missoni wool I do have a few metres back in stock - but shhhh don't tell everyone or they will get it before you do!

*Do you find yourself making lots of bright floral dresses and skirts (these are your icing) because  actually you live in jeans and a black or grey top? (that is our cake) It's all about making things you will actually wear everyday.

GINGER JEANS PATTERN AND OTHER CLOSET CASE NOW IN STOCK

If like me you have always struggled to buy off the shelf jeans, my issue is always a gaping waist, then  why not make your own?

Ginger jeans from Closet case patterns are a tried and tested jeans pattern (just google them to see many wonderful versions) with a a high or low rise waist option and 2 legs shapes you will find your style n this pattern.

Use a denim with a bit of stretch like our Barkweave stretch denim and you will have your perfect fit jeans.

Carolyn pajamas come in a short or long version, designed for chic lounging. I would totally wear these out of the house. Use a luxury fabric like our Bye bye birdie cotton and stick on a pair of high heels to prevent it looking like you have stepped out in your actual pajamas. Night out drinking outfit done!

The Clare coat is a simple funnel neck coat ideal for this chilly time of year. Make yours out of our Maite wool for a stunning winter coat.

Last, but by no means least, is the versatile easy Nettie pattern. Make a body con dress or a body suit (that would go perfectly with your high waisted Ginger jeans) Use the Optic dot jersey for the ultimate Spring summer '16 feel

ATELIER BRUNETTE NOW IN STOCK

We are very pleased to have partnered up with Atelier Brunette in Paris. Their designs are simple geometric patterns in very modern colours. Think palest blush, true black with tiny confetti like diamonds and triangles. Printed on top quality viscose or the finest cotton cambric (similar to a fine lawn) these fabric drape beautifully and have a delicate feel to them.

Use these fabrics to make simple T shirts, loose trousers, casual shirts or pretty maxi dresses.

If you have been following me on Instagam you would have seen me sewing with this Halo navy blue viscose. I am making a Scout Tee shirt in this which I cannot wait to start wearing.

Palest pink and nude are going to be massive again this spring. Get in there quick with the Facet viscose in nude, use it to make a Gabriola Maxi skirt

Still following the pale trend this Abstract cotton in pink would be dreamy as a Quinn shirt.

Fancy something a bit darker? This Bye bye birdie cotton with small origami birds printed all over would make a really really cute Sheath dress

Lastly the Twist cotton comes in both Dark Blue and Mustard and would be ideal made into an Archer shirt.
