Monochrome Prints - New In!

Check out these amazing new monochrome prints we have just added to our collection.

This chiffon is perfect for a billowing maxi dresses or chic kimono style top..

This lightweight crepe would make a fantastic blouse or lined dress, perfect wedding guest attire!

I live in stretch cotton slim fit trousers in the summer and this fabric would make a fab pair, brighten it up with a pop of colour in the shape of a red tee shirt or royal blue jumper!

This variegated stripe viscose jersey offers a twist on a classic breton, make a couple you will want a spare when one is in the wash!

This spot satin has loads of body so it would be perfect for a full skirted dress, add a net petticoat for added oomph!

I think classic designs like this Toile de Joey look great when made into modern shapes, try a summer dress with a cut out back or a full pleated skirt in this cotton.

A lightweight blazer in this ponte roma jersey is perfect to take you through from spring to summer when it is ALL about layering!

Beautiful New Spring Cotton Lawns

These super soft cotton lawns have just landed and boy are they beautiful. Imagine long floaty dresses, simple shirts and beautiful lounge wear in these delightful prints.

Marabou Mosaic in navy or ivory has large scale birds making it ideal for patterns with few seam details such as a simple shift dress.

Elegance departure has geese made up of a riot of flowers and butterflies soaring across it. Choose from pink or silver and make a classic shirt in this lightweight cotton lawn.

Morning glory has pretty oriental birds and blooms on a nude background, a perfect summer dress fabric.

So this last one isn't a cotton lawn, it's a slinky jersey, but it's just too pretty to be left out. Blossom has a generous 4 way stretch making it ideal for a wrap dress you will wear and wear, from now till next winter!

Beautiful Italian Viscose Crepes - Stunning designs

These beautiful new Italian viscose crepes have just been added to our website. This fabric has the most wonderful drape to it and fabulously vibrant colours. The bold designs and weight of the fabric lend themselves to wide legged trousers, full skirts and billowing tops, anything that requires movement and drape.

Polloi features people dressed in their finest clothes on a royal blue background. Not for those who don't want to stand out in a crowd.

Clara draws on the huge trend of dark florals that is still going strong, and I think easier to wear if you are not a girlie girl than pale florals.  Featuring line drawn flowers on a black background.

Bloom has bold coral flowers on a navy background, that colour mix of navy and coral is a favourite of mine and this is a perfect execution of this colour palette.

Flapper as the name suggest has rows of Erte style dancers in individual scenes posing with birds. Be bold in this twenties inspired fabric.

Party is a carnival of colours, watercolour rectangles make a beautiful pattern. The softness of the colours and the drape of the viscose crepe give this fabric a dreamy feel to it.

Reiste has a traditional feel to it. However the coral and teal on a navy background make it bang up to date. Use this fabric and mix it with another design for brilliant pattern clashing.

Paisley is brought to life in this blue and red print. Paisley was brought to Europe in the 1700's and was thought to ward off evil, what better reason do you need to get some?

Named Clothing - New SS17 Collection - Playground

Named Clothing Patterns have just released their SS17 collection. As you would expect from this Scandinavian pattern company, the latest range is super stylish. The names are based on children's book characters and the whole collection has a playful feel to it with out being childish.

Let's not waste any time getting to know these new characters!

Ok, hands up who has been considering a pair of dungarees recently? With Instagram and Pinterest full of off-duty models and street stylers looking relaxed and super cool in theirs, who can blame you?  If you have not yet boarded the dungaree train, now is the time. Ronja are high waisted and cropped,  2 big trends covered there. Though I am not sure I would be brave enough to wear them in white denim (I am an unapologetic coffee spiller) an Olive green denim pair would be awesome.

Reeta is the elusive versatile dress that can be worn with flats by day and add a pair of heels and a sparkly clutch it will take you straight to the bar of the swankiest joint in town! Named have made theirs in a pretty floral but I would love to see a version in this Cubic geometric viscose crepe.

Appealing to the big kid in us all, the Helga playsuit has a neat wrap front and sexy racer back. Our lightweight viscose Challis in red polkadots would be perfect for this playful number.

Anneli is a dress or top with a clever double layer detail.

Ansa top or dress features pretty butterfly sleeves and a curved bust detail.

Maisa is your ultimate denim jacket, this patchwork version is perfect for denim stash busting!

Minttu will be the top you wear every single day once the sun eventually comes out. For now, make it in something slinky and wear it out at night!

In my school Ninni was a playground insult, but these easy elasticated culottes are anything but insulting. Perfect project for beginners to dressmaking.

New Prints Linen mix fabrics to make you swoon!

Q. What have monkeys and pineapples got in common?
A. Apart from both living in trees, they also both feature on our amazing new range of 60% cotton and 40% linen mix fabrics.

This special buy range of fabrics are only £9 per metre and 150cm wide. However they are limited in availability and once they are gone we can't get any more. So don't hang about for summer if you want to get your hands on these and start planning your summer wardrobe.

Pink and green pineapples on a white background. This Pineapple fabric is shouting Pina colada at me louder than an 18-30s rep.  This is going to be your favourite sundress this summer! I would love to see a Rosie dress in this fabric.

Mega pineapples, like the name suggests, these bad boys are massive, each one measuring an impressive 37cm. This is not a fabric for shrinking violets. Go for a maxi dress so there is plenty of fabric to show off this giant pattern, the Saltspring is ideal. Still not convinced you can wear giant pineapples? This fabric would also make superb cushions or a giant beach bag, use the large Fringe bag for a simple throw it all in bag with pockets for sunnies and lotion.

Monkey puzzle comes in 2 colourways Orange or Blue. Featuring cheeky monkeys sitting in palm trees. A simple Scout tee would be super cute and at that price you could have one in each colour.

Tropical flowers take me away to sunny beaches and this bright orange print is no different. Make a Marigold jumpsuit and you will practically feel the sand between your toes!

Clark geometric print has a brilliant black, yellow and white graphic design, I adore this print and think it would look super sharp as a simple shift dress with a black jacket.

We've also had this beautiful Abigail linen and viscose mix fabric arrive, the viscose gives it a beautiful weight and drape, perfect for a full dress like Raglan dress.

Blue is one of our most popular colours and with these new stunning prints you can see why!

Textured ponte roma jerseys are perfect for dresses and sweatshirts. Choose from a navy or white background with large scale florals to make a real statement.

Sandie stretch crepe jersey

Hollie stretch crepe jersey

This ex designer scuba fabric is a real show stopper. I can see a full skirt worn with big heels and a red skinny sweater looking really striking in this fabric.

Corris scuba

As the weather starts to warm up I live in fitted trousers in stretch cotton sateen, make a pair in this funky design and wear with a plain navy top and white trainers.

Maze stretch cotton sateen

A viscose print jersey with an amazing disc design. How about a wrap dress in this superb fabric?

Circles viscose jersey

There is something a bit David Bowie about this lightweight silk. I would love to see a pussy bow blouse in this funky fabric. The mix of a girlie blouse with the rockets perfectly offset each other.

Rocket silk

Polyester voile is another perfect pussy bow blouse fabric. With a large paisley pattern this classic design is brought up to date in a modern colourway.
